14.10.2022The first time the pieces weren't hugging the hypotenuse as tightly.

## randomusernumber1

13.10.2022the top side of the "triangle" is not straight . It is just ever so slightly bent inwards, the human eye cannot perceive it and there is enough of a gap in between the peace's to accommodate it so when you move the peace's around you get a gap

## c. dodson

13.10.2022Its cause its 2 triangles like one quarter has a diffrent angle makeing it do that

## M

13.10.2022The angle of those right rectangular e are different, their hypotenuse are not aligned, which leads to a bump in the new formed hypotenuse, which it the very area (spread out) of that little missing square

## USA

13.10.2022Letter E Can be the square

## Janus Æsir

11.10.2022So i have seen this before and know how this works: The longest side of the triangle is slightly curved outwards. So that curvature gives us that little empty space!

(I know that sounds a little bit strange because you can’t actually see it)

## Bangkok Eyes

11.10.2022A frame by frame analysis removes completely any mystery. It can be seen when you flip the triangles out of the frame at the beginning, the red triangle flips down and out out of sight but when you start putting it back together again you use a different red triangle ( which reappears under your hand) .

## Subash Devkota

10.10.2022The triangles are not perfect triangle, when they get misplaced, there will be change in total minor area than before

## Jason C P

10.10.2022the shape together makes a quadrilateral, not a triangle due to a difference in the angles the hypotenuse sits on

Edit: with the rectangle being 2 parts it focuses the small gap over the hypotenuse into a 1×1 unit square gap making it look larger than it is, being about 0.5 units width and 2 units hight from the smaller triangle which is steeper

The larger triangle also has 3 units hight to essentially hide its hypotenuse's difference in angle (having more length to hide the space use for the square)

## GreenStoneGecko

10.10.2022The two triangles don't have the same "steep ness" as the big triangle they're in. They can be placed 2 seperate ways, once as a ramp, and once as a speedbump shape. The difference is surface area is exactly equal to the small square

## Quade

10.10.2022It's the blue triangle

## Kh Yasir Akram

10.10.2022Cause you said that at starting this is an Optical illusions.

## Bunny :0

10.10.2022The triangle isn’t a triangle. It’s a quadrilateral.

## Celeste Grace Faith

09.10.2022Nice subtle advertisement 😅

## Leopardian

09.10.2022It’s possible because the triangles are actually not the same angle.

## The Pacifist

09.10.2022I love how he substituted the red block. A cheat.

## cslloyd1

09.10.2022The slack off the crack is equal to the gravity of the cavity

## TechnoXander40

09.10.2022This is actually quite simple. the blue triangle is 2x as big as the red one. Basically making this possible. As well as that, the 2 L shapes are different. The angles are also slightly different.

## OtakuUnitedStudio

09.10.2022The solution to this is actually pretty simple, and you can figure it out if you pay close attention to the video. When the triangle isn't missing the square, it's loose and comes out of the tray easily. When you move the pieces to make the missing square appear, they fit very tightly and almost snap in. That tiny bit of wiggle room it starts with actually adds up to the area of the missing square piece.

## Ashok Kumar

07.10.2022I didn't notice that when the B piece was switched to another piece…

## Brandon Sabean

07.10.2022Wow switched out the pieces wow

## D .S

07.10.2022I think there is some gap in initial arrangement of every block

07.10.2022The triangle has a slight drop in the hipotenusa.

There is a video talking about this puzzle already
